What would you like to know?

Weater:The summer was hot and muggy. With fall approaching, expect warm days and cool nights.

Currency: The rate of exchange has been trending downward...Yesterday it was about 3.09 pesos per dollar, but has been in a range between about 3.00-3.20 for several months.

ATMS: My Bank of America Master Card worked like a charm.

Safety: Adhere to the usual advice for any large city...use radio taxis at night, if there is a political protest go the other direction, watch for pickpockets, store most valuables in safety box in your room/hotel, etc. If you are American, don't draw attention to this fact by the way you dress (flag tshirts, etc) There is not much anti-American sentiment, but with the war looming, who knows...

Prices: Prices are up over a year ago, and the rate of exchange is down....so expect to pay a little more, though Buenos Aires is still a bargain for a large city....

My one real gripe is with some hotels and virtually all Argentina-based airlines that have adopted a dual price structure so Argentinos are charged one price and foreigners are charged another, much greater price. The difference is often more than double....

Overall, Argentina remains my favorite travel destination on earth!

Anything else?

anything I did not cover?
