Last minute Mexico HELP!!
 

Are we crazy to consider going to the Four Seasons Punta Mita next week? I know the weather could be rainy and hot but we need a quick, last minute getaway from the west coast.. Other ideas? I can't stand the fog in Oakland another minute!!

That's about the time my family went to PV last year, and we had a good time. I'd do it -- it was very hot, but still wonderful!

Anyone out there with an idea? Please help!

Sure, I'd go to PV anytime... it's an easy plane ride from Oakland. Even when it rains it is mostly at night or showers, not likely to be a solid 4 day monsoon.

Personally I'd stay nearer to downtown, because I LOVE El Centro PV. Punta Mita is a good hour away out on an isolated point.

But is straight R&R with nothing to do is what you seek, I say "go for it".

Thanks, Suze and Frankie. I think we'll brave the heat and rain. We'll have a rental car so a drive into town will be possible...

I called in the nonrefundable deposit so looks like I'm on my way end of next week. Keep your fingers crossed for decent weather and I'll post a trip report on my return.
