Las Tortugas, Sugar Beach or Villa Casa Blanca for honeymoon?

Headed down in July. Which place is nicest? Any of you CR vets have opinions or suggestions on these choices for out honeymoon? We would like some privacy but would like to be able to walk or take a cheap taxi to town to roam around a little. Thanks for any help ladies and gents.

Villa Casa Blanca won't give you a great ocean view, but it is a nice little property. Not on the beach. Check into Villas Cascadas in Playa Ocotal. We had friends who stayed in December and loved it.

Sugar Beach would be nice and secluded--beautiful place, but not easy if you don't have a car. Are you sure you don't want one? Sure is convenient! This part of the country is very easy to navigate--Guanacaste.

Las Tortugas would be a nice area as well at Playa Grande. I understand the road has been repaired a bit. But it, too, is an isolated area and you would need a vehicle (my opinion).

Check with Sugar Beach and Las Tortugas and see what they say about getting a taxi to take you here and there. Perhaps it is easier than I imagine. Are you flying into Liberia? Renting a vehicle and getting to any of these locations from there would be a piece of cake. Truly. From San Jose, about a 5 hour drive, but not a difficult one at all.

Congratulations! Enjoy yourselves. We'll be at Playa Grande in July as well--the 25 and 26th.

Also, we are 27 and 30 respectfully and are pretty active (into hiking, etc.)
Thanks.

Villa Casa Blanca is 'cute', Playa Ocotal is a small beach good for swimming and snorkelling:

Oops, I think I made a mistake. I checked out the Villas Cascadas website today and saw that it is a 16 bedroom villa that starts at $2000 per day. I knew our friends took some of their family members, but didn't realize just how much they splurged. And at Christmas too! Whew--$$$!!! They own a funeral home, so if that tells you anything. . ! :)

I was thinking it was the kind of place where different groups could book rooms or sections. Guess it is all for one renter at a time. Looks lovely! :)
