Las Playas Acapulco

Anyone know anything about this area? We are staying there in a villa for 6 nights in February and wanted to know what it is close to, etc.

Do you have any other name?
Never heard of this beach area.

Sorry
I have been to Acapulco several times and thought I knew all the beaches.

This one escapes me.
Is there a resort nearby

Percy: I don't think it is an actual beach. I believe it is an area on a peninsula maybe?

You could well be right.
That means that from the Peninsula, at Playa Caletilla or Caleta you take the boat ride to the Isla Roqueta , which is an island just off the peninsula and the beach around here is called Las Playa!
Frank Sinatra and a group of business men wanted to build a bridge across the peninsula to this island and have some casinos there.
The Mexican government turned them down.
The locals were not happy..lots of potential jobs lost..this was in the 1970's when Acapulco was the major highlite of Mexico.
If you get there and find this place ..let me know
Thanks
Percy
