LaPaz Baja car rental

Can anyone recommend a good car rental company in LaPaz, Baja, Mexico?
Thanks in advance.

I have never rented in La Paz, but rent in San Jose del Cabo airport. I have used Cactus Car and Alamo. I always make sure the quote includes ALL insurance, including the mandatory Mexican liability insurance.

I am flying into La Paz, not SJC. Not about to go hours in the 'other' direction just to pick up a car.

Yes, I know exactly which insurance I should get for Mexico. (Have experience doing so elsewhere in Mexico with local companies.) The problem is that the phone reps for the big car companies don't, and don't even know what the company has to offer for insurance, reading from some pamphlet they are supplied.

That's why I'm asking the question about a "good' rental company in La Paz.

Never rented there instead hiring a cab/driver for day trips. Better & mostly cheaper than renting a car.

Well I'll take your word for it being cheaper, but I am not intending to stay in LaPaz, nor to do day trips from there, and calling a cab from the middle of nowhere might be inconvenient, so I need to rent a car.

Can anyone help by recommending a good rental car company in LaPaz, Baja specifically?

Stewbear- if you've been there, what is the airport like? The town? Big enough to arrange something on the ground on arrival, something local, without their running out of cars? And without using the whole rest of a day to find one? (My plan was to be 3 hours north of there by nightfall, arriving late morning.)

La Paz is the Capital of Baja Sur so a fairly large community. There are several car rental companies located at the airport.
