Language School - Ecuador

Has anyone attended the Academia de Espanol in Quito? I found it through langlink.com

Does anyone have experience with any other spanish language schools in Ecuador?

I did 2 weeks at CPI in Costa Rica last year (it was great! San Joaquin des Flores & Monteverde) but would like to go somewhere different this year

Thanks

Pamela

Have you checked the references at www.123teachme.com ? I haven't studied in Ecuador but am always looking for future language school adventures - please keep us posted. Happy trails!

Has anyone attended APF language school in Quito? They have a "Spanish and Tours" program that sounds interesting & they were highly rated on the 123 Teach Me website. Jana

A couple years ago, I did a course through the Simon Bolivar school in Quito (http://www.simon-bolivar.com/).

I had a great time. I loved the small 1-on-1 practice/lecture format almost as much as I enjoyed the late afternoon activities (learn latin dancing one evening, how to cook Ecuadorean dishes anotehr, and MY favorite -- how to mix drinks the Ecuadorean way).

Have fun!

Luis Mena is an Ecuadorian who owns and operates his own school in Quito. Luis was the former education director for Simon Bolivar, mentioned earlier in this thread.

Most schools in Quito are owned by foreigners who pay relatively low wages to local instructors, so it is nice to be able to support a school where the owner/operator is a local....
