La Paz

Can anyone tell me what the weather is like in La Paz the first part of June?

The weather will be getting hot but still fairly dry. It depends what your tolerance is for warm weather. I personally like the warmer weather so early June suits me just fine. Expect highs in the 90's.

Thanks for the info. What are the beaches like how do they compare to the Cancun area? How about snorkeling we bought snorkeling gear and are anxious to try it out? Can you recommend a good, clean, resonable hotel?

The La Paz area has some of the nicest beaches in Mexico. You will have to go a little ways out from La Paz to get to the good ones. Tecolote is an excellent beach. The beach areas in town are not too great and are probably polluted. The first good beaches are only 10 miles or so from town.

I do not have first hand experience with snorkeling in the area but I do understand that there is good snorkeling in the La Paz area.

I will recommend 2 hotels that are both on the Malecon close to downtown La Paz. I prefer this area as you can walk to everything.

Los Arcos - excellent upscale hotel.

La Perla - not as upscale as Los Arcos but still pretty decent.

There are others but these are my two favorites.

You should like La Paz very much. It is my favorite spot in Mexico.

Trish:

I have no idea which La Paz you are referring to. La Paz, BCS, Mexico will be in the 90's in June.
