Just ret'nd from Royal HIdeaway any ?

My husband just returned from a glorious week at the Royal Hideaway Resort in the Playacar Resort area just south of Playa del Carmen. I would be pleased to answer any questions.
Jennifer

My husband, 19-year old daughter and I are considering this resort. How is beach, location in general, food, staff? This area compared to other areas in Mexico?? Our daughter has vacationed in Playa del Carmen and liked it very much. Any info you might think would be helpful would be appreciated. Thank you.
My husband and I are planning a trip to PDC in June. The RH sounds great and looks luxurious. Can you get a beachfront room? It looks like the location is good as far as going into PDC or heading south to Xel Ha or Tulum. We stayed at the El Dorado last year and found the rooms a bit sparse. No drawers or shelves to "unpack". Any info would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

Jennifer, My wife and I are considering the Royal Hideaway Resort or the Robinson Club Tulum. The way I see it, Robinson probably carrys a more European flavour, which is intriguing. Royal Hideaway is probably more luxurious.

Your reference to a glorious week at the Royal Hideaway Resort suggests that you would recommend it. Are you familiar with Robinson Club Tulum? If so, how would you describe the differences?

So glad you liked it. We also thought it was a great place, one to go back to.

Hi Jennifer, my husband & I are planning a trip to the Royal Hideaway.....So far, it sounds as though we made a good choice...We've been to other Allegro resorts in Playacar that were OK, but this sounds top drawer...My husband's only concern is no buffets, he really enjoys them for breakfast...Is it true there are NO buffets at all??? Please respond. Thanks, Liz
