Arrived in Toluca spending 3 nights. A most interesting city & sights including a "round" Pyramid. Clean attractive city. More later
Now in Acapulco. Lovely setting but BUSY BUSY BUST! Traffic, crowds & noisy. More later
Tomorrow I am off to the peace & quite of my favorite second home Zihuatanejo. Adios until later.

Stewbear, is there buzz in Acapulco regarding the 17 drug gang-related dead bodies and 6 dead police found over the weekend in Acapulco? The article below says that two decapitated bodies were dumped on a st. w/lots of nightclubs frequented by tourists. It is terribly unfortunate that that is happening at the start of the tourist season there, and that the tourists are seeing the results. Usually these types of drug-related killings are a bit more remote, but La Familia is getting more pulicity this way, I guess. I feel bad for the people of Acapulco.

Did not hear about this until several fays later & on the beach of Zihuatanejo. These things seldom are in tourist areas although it has happened a time or two. I can only say that in 25 years of Mexican travel I have never been a victim of a crime now even witnessed one.
