We really enjoyed Neta & Arbel last summer and the stop there was nice...we spent one day at Turu Ba Ri Park and the canopy tour is good there; they also have a "superman" zip line that was terrific for my teenage son! One mile long, I believe and was a real thrill for him. We stopped on our way from Samara to MA. So many choices! Joyce

It's a great stopping point between Arenal and Manuel Antonio. If you have a map, you can see approximately where it is. South of the airport and west--it is between the towns of Puriscal and San Pablo de Turrubares. Closer to San Pablo.
It will take you about an hour longer between the two places, but when you break the trip into 2 parts, that isn't a bad trade off to encounter such a nice hotel as La Finca. It would provide you with a truly relaxing rest stop!
AND the best part is traveling through this part of the country that receives very little tourist traffic. Well, maybe the BEST part is meeting Neta and Arbel! They are so much fun and love to chat with their guests.

I just bought another guidebook, "The New Key To Costa Rica", and noticed that La Finca Que Ama is recommended in this guidebook. 17th edition.
I now have 4 guidebooks for Costa Rica! Fodors, Frommers, Lonely Planet, and The New Key To Costa Rica...(But you should see the pile of books I have left over from our Italy trip last year...)

Shillmac, Thank you!! You are a wealth of information, I did email Neta and Arbel, and they already email back. Very sweet email.
I think you are gone to Alaska, but in case you are still around, looking on the map if we go to La Finca que Ama from Arenal and then to MA will we miss the Tarcoles Bridge where all the alligator are?? I know the children would love that.

No, you won't miss it. It is a fun stop, and yes, your children would enjoy it! Someone should stay with the car (take turns) because there have been thefts from unattended cars. I've never seen anything even remotely suspicious on our stops here, but do know that thefts have occured, so it would pay you to be cautious. Have a great time! Gotta go pack!! UGH!

Tell me it isn't so. My family is taking our first trip to CR in three days. Neta was so fantastic in helping me plan that we have decided to spend our last two nights with her. I was looking them up on the internet and it looks as though Finca Que Ama is for sale. I am so sad about this. I hope that I have bad information. Anyone?
