July/August honeymoon in Costa Rica

My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for late July/early August of next summer. We would love to go to Costa Rica since we've heard so many great things but are concerned about the weather. I've heard that the weather is particularly wet during these two months. Is it still worth planning a trip?

July can be a very nice month in Costa Rica; however, it always depends on the weather patterns. Some years it is much rainier there than other years. Generally in July any rain would be mostly in the later afternoon and evening hours (not all day rain outs). Even when it rains, remember it is always warm there and generally does not rain for days on end. September thru November are usually the rainiest months. The year we went in July we stayed at Villa La Vista in Manuel Antonio. It was a beautiful little Villa with an awesome view of the ocean, close to the beach and restaurants. We found the Villa on HomeAway.com. Just go to www.homeaway.com/317280 for information and pictures. We have been to Costa Rica numerous times and cannot wait to return again (and again!).

Summer is better than fall when it floats away.

But when I was there August 2 years ago

it clouded over by noon and rained almost every afternoon

Guanacaste Nicoya has less rain fourseasons.com only

TRUE CR 5 star Brad/Angelina secretly "married" there

JW Marriott or hotelcapitansuizo.com all good.

tabacon.com at arenal.net was great in rain but many

days too many clouds to even SEE the volcano so after

that in late summer/fall I go to konaweb.com stayhawii.com.

Less rain like 1 inch per month volcanoes great beach dive

Good packages on Hapuna Prince last for me air car hotel

Princeresortshawaii.com for $1kpp.

Kona is 4 hours direct from LAX not too much further than

CR no passport required so I might consider that

Very HMworthy romantic and the only place on the planet

where you can see TerraForming lava dropping into the sea

building the big island truly awesome especially at night.

Congrats and Happy Planning!
