In Zihuatanejo, do not miss having dinner at Casa Que Canta.

Lucky you. There are some very nice restaurants in Zihuatanejo. We especially enjoyed La Sirena Gorda (the seafood avocado appetizer and blackened snapper were wonderful), Emilio's (good wood oven pizzas, ribs, pastas, nice salad bar), Casa Vieja (excellent variety), Kau Kan and Bay Club. Both of the latter have wonderful views, so make sure you request a table with a view. They were also the only 2 that I would consider a little more expensive, but not outrageously so. Bon appetit!

I second Villa de la Selva in Ixtapa. It's in a gorgeous location on top of cliff with breaktaking views of the ocean. It can be a bit pricey (e.g. $75 for two with appetizers, wine, dessert), but the location/view is unbeatable. Supposedly this was the former residence of a former president of Mexico. If you don't want to spend the money on dinner, maybe you could go for a drink or dessert just to soak up the view.

We had dinner at one of the restaurants are the Ixtapa marina. I don't remember the name but were 3 or 4 and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food at all.
