Itinerary for Honduras?

I have a problem with cramming in too many activities/sights on my vacations - Can anyone share their experiences in Honduras to help me decide if this is too much?

Sat - Arrive at 6:30am in San Pedro Sula. Transfer for tour of Copan. Overnight in Copan.
Sun - Transfer back to San Pedro Sula. Flight to La Ceiba. Overnight at Lodge at Pico Bonito
Mon - Hike of Pico Bonito
Tues - Wildlife & Manatee Boat Tour
Wed - Flight to Roatan. Overnight at Anthony's Key Resort or Mayan Princess (suggestions?)
Thur - Snorkeling
Fri - Snorkeling
Sat - Flight from La Ceiba back to San Pedro Sula. Depart at 9:30pm for JFK.

It sounds reasonable on paper but will I really want to stay in three different places in one week? At the same time, there is so much diversity in Honduras that I don't want to regret not seeing whatever I can. Thanks for your advice!

We took a similiar trip to Honduras but stayed three nights in Copan, three nights at Pico Bonito and three nights on Roatan. What you are suggesting is certainly doable if you are not planning on spending very much time at the Copan ruins.

We really enjoyed our trip to Honduras, and Pico Bonito was a very special place.

Just curious as to where you stayed on Roatan. I am still deciding... Also, what did you think of Pico Bonito? Were the cabins open air or were there screens/windows? Could you get hot water in the bathroom? What wildlife did you see there?

Thanks for your input!

We stayed at Fantasy Island Resort, and I would not recommend it. We felt it had seen better days and was somewhat shabby. Also, it wasn't convenient to go anywhere else, as it is really on an island.

Pico Bonita was quite luxurious, with a lovely bathroom, no bugs, and quite nice meals. The pictures on their web site are quite representative of the place. We didn't see much wildlife other than monkeys when we went on the boat tour. But there were lots of birds, especially from the viewing towers on the property. Please feel free to e-mail me at [email protected] if I can answer any other questions. I will also send you a link to my pictures if you would like to see them.
