It SNOWED in Buenos Aires! The first heavy snowfall since 1918!

Children threw snowballs while photographers tried to capture the falling flakes as a party atmosphere descended on the city. Crowds gathered at the Obelisk monument in central Buenos Aires, the traditional focal point for Argentinian celebrations and protests.
- The Guardian Unlimited has the story: http://www.guardian.co.uk/weather/St...122984,00.html

Buenos Aires Weekly has some pictures. It sure looked like everyone was having fun! :)

It was especially beautiful as the sun set and the angels in Recoleta Cemetery had their wings dusted with snow..

It was lovely and charming to see the joy in the children and adults...( coming from many years in NY, snow had ceased to be fun...:)
