Isla Mujeres and topless
 

Yes, this lovely quaint island has been taken over by trashy tourists. The only topless people you see are tourists, never the local people. If you go to the mostly local beaches the women are in bathing suits that are modest. The tourist areas are a whole different story. Why women think their bare saggy boobs are attractive is beyond me.

I've been to IM on numerous occasions, and the toplessness has always been discreet and not particularly common.

Could it be that you are so repressed and uptight about YOUR appearance that people who are unselfconscious enough about their bodies to choose to go without their swimsuit top is threatening to you?

Or are you are one of those chubby, self-indulgent day-trippers from Cancun that spill sweating and red-faced off of the cattle boats, take up the chairs at the resorts from the paying guests and guzzle umbrella drinks while staring google-eyed at a boob here and there?

Isla Mujeres has been topless-optional for years - not taken over by "trashy tourists."

And if you don't like it, there's such an incredibly-simple solution. DON'T GO THERE!

Dumb person, you're looking at the wrong boobs. Just ignore those and look at the pert, uplifting boobs. I believe with the practice I've had I can spot a delightful C cup now with practice. That's a C cup in England I don't know about continental/international sizes. If I had my way (to quote a Liverpool poet) I would measure all boobs in thumbprints.

As always, a great post from Diana. While I am not a real fan of IM, I have never seen that it has been taken over by trashy tourists. And, in my obervations, anywhere in Mexico it is always the tourists who are topless--never the locals. So, this is really not surprising!
