Okay I am the one who posted the question at the beginning of the post..
I am back from Mexico. I was there from the 4-11 but ended up being there from the 4-17.
I drank bottled water but had local orange juice very day and pinacoladas with local crushed ice. I brushed teeth with tap water. I ate local salads and fruits that were pre-cut and peeled. And everyday for teh first week I took a supplement I bought from GNC health food store here in America. Called liquid collidal silver. And I was fine. Never sick at all.
And I didn't have to ask for water in spanish either.. They volenteer to speak in english, so it was never a problem. But I was prepared. Okay bye and thanks for your comments.

coloidal silver? What is it with people eating/drinking heavy metal.
We went to an upscale indian restaurant that served varaq (or varq): silver foil as a garnish. We ate it, and lived to tell about it. Any Indian'Pakistani folk care to comment?

Go to a Mexican Pharmacy And by some BACTRIM. Take it (twice?) daily and you will NOT get Moctezumas revenge.

I have traveled a few times overseas and had very good luck if I buy a huge pack of the Pepto Bismol tablets and take two per day for one week before I leave through one week after I come home. Cheap, simple. Hope you have fun! Also remember to follow the other food-related tips others have posted.
