Is it worth a night in Pisac??
 

Itinerary for June 08:
Lima - 1 night airport Ramada
Pisac - 1 (Wednesday)
Ollantay - 2 (Machu Picchu from here)
Cusco -2
Puno -2
Lima -1 night plus 1 whole day with overnight flight
Question? Will we be bored in Pisac? Will be there early afternoon Wed, until we decide to leave the next day for Ollantay. I thought the lower altitude might be a plus. We're middle aged and don't need constant entertainment.

Pisac has a great atmosphere ,very laid back, lots of things to see and do

We stayed one night at Pisac and enjoyed it. The market was nice to wander through (we were there on a weekday). It's a quiet little village and other than the ruins which are defintiely worth seeing, there didn't seem to be much to do. We walked around the village, hung out at our hotel on the square and watched the people go about their lives and that's about it. Very relaxing and a nice break during our trip. Maybe we missed something. The next day we went to the ruins and continued onto Ollantaytambo.

Yestravel, Where did you stay in Pisac? Comments on the place? Thanks for the input. JM

We stayed at the Hotel Pisaq -- It was right on the square and is a basic, clean and inexpensive hotel. It had a nice courtyard and the staff were very helpful. For 1 night it served our purposes well, but I doubt I would want to stay there much more. We had trouble getting them to respond to requests for a reservation. Finally the guide we hired managed to get in touch with them.
