Is Country Residence great lodging?

This will be our first time visiting Rio. We are coming to Brazil for our son's wedding and wanted to experience Rio too. I have found availability for our party of four (father, mother, son-21 yrs old-- and grandmother at the Country Residence. Is this a good site for a first time visitor? If not, where?

Actually I just ran across it on www.blameitonrio4travel.com and it looks like a fine 3 star location. Its in a great spot in Ipanema, looks like you picked a good one.

Hi,
we always stay at the Country Residence when we go to Rio. The apartments are big and spacious, the staff very friendly. They have a HUGE pool, it's shallow (about 4 feet deep) but perfect for swimming laps on taking dips to cool off. If you can afford it, upgrade to the deluxe category. Those apartments are the biggest, with the best views (looks out at the beach over the Ipanema Country Club).

What street is that on?

It's on the 1700-1900 block of Prudente de Morais, directly behind the Ipanema country club (it's really a tennis club, not a full service country club like we have in the States).
