International Expeditions

We are thinking of taking a tour to Brazil with International Expeditions. Has anyone travelled with them - good/bad experience? Any other suggestions for tour groups? Thank you.

We have taken tours with International Expeditions to Costa Rico, Belize, the Amazon and Peru. We have been very pleased with their naturalist guides, the accommodations and the food. The tours were well paced and included everything. The only thing I would mention (and it might not be a concern to you) is that it seemed that the majority of people on the tours were birders, and the activities were geared in that direction.

We did Amazon, Pacchu Pichu with them 5 yrs ago. FANTASTIC. Not too birdy, that we noticed. Want to go with them again when we find a trip that fits us. Really top notch to us.& we do a lot of high end tours. Smithsonian, other university & museum related groups. Latter a bit of an older crowd. Not IE. very broad age range.

We went with IE to Belize, Peru, and Costa Rica. Very good experience. Would go with them again.

They have a more active and nature oriented clientel, so birders are more common than on the university trips. But it all depends on chance. There were more birders on our Belize trip than the other 2. ((R))

I want to go with them to the Pantanal also, probably after your trip because it won't be for a year or so. Please post a trip report when you get back. Have fun.
Thanks
