info on the buenaventura hotel in puerto vallarta. going in march
 

if anyone could tell me anything about the beunaventura hotel, such as how close is it really to the boardwalk, the pool,hotel room staff etc . it would be appreciated. thanx

Liz,<BR>Stayed at the Buenaventura hotel both times we've been to PV. The first time we enjoyed it - it's a smaller type resort, good service, food. Last year we stayed there again based on a great price at the last minute type thing and we were greatly disappointed on how run down the resort had become. As far as how close it is to the boardwalk - it's within easy walking distance (approx 1 mile?) If we go again we will probably stay at the Krystal. Good luck.<BR>Pam<BR>

We stayed there a few years ago, the pool is great, but you need to walk for 10 minutes through the neighboring hotel to get to the beach. Bus stop is right outside the front door, which is good. It is not a fancy place - my two biggest complaints were, the air conditioning unit in our rom reeked of MOLD when we turned it on, and they mopped the floors daily with bleach/pinesol. We did go back several times to use the pool/bar on subsequent trips.

There is a Buenaventura right on Playa Camarones. Agree with 1st poster--about a pleasant 10 minute walk to the middle of town. We stayed near there and went for lunch. Also agree with above poster--it might have seen better days.

I think some of the above posters might be mixing up the Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and the Buenaventura Hotel. The Buenaventura is on the beach..no need to walk through another hotel (That is the Hacienda Buenaventura). The Buenaventura is very close to the boardwalk...just a few minutes walk.
