thanks for the advice about arenal hotels.Do we need immunizations to go to Cost Rica if so which ones?

Nope! Don't need a thing except some repellant with DEET just in case the mosquitoes are giving you heck! CR is a very civilized place--too much so for some! Have fun!

Hep A is recommended. It's not a bad idea to have that one anyway.

Actually, there was a Dengue outbreak last year, mostly S of the Central Plateau.
Hep A is always good in MX and Central America.
Unless you are going overnight into the Darien in Panama, Ultrathon insect repellent and appropriate

lo siento, Windows XP has its own mind - I should have bought a Mac !
appropriate clothing if you have/see mosquitoes/Africanized bees.
