Immizations for Cancun and surrounding areas

Do I need any shots for Cancun and area?
Thanks

Do you mean as a legal requirement or as a precaution?

AFAIK, the only probable risk right now in Cancun MAY be dengue fever. There have been a few cases reported in Chetumal (200 miles from Cancun). If I went to Cancun right now I wouldn't get any shots before I went.

I forgot to say: there is no legal requirement to get any shots before arriving in Cancun.

No shots required. If you want to be super careful, you might consider Hepatitis A vaccinations. Probably not needed in any tourist area. Maybe if you venture off the beaten path and eat where hygene is questionable. Hepatitis A is supposedly the 2nd most frequent illness amongst travelers- you can guess the first.

We did the hepatitis, you just never know and we were traveling with 11 people and felt the risk increased with the numbers!! If i went just with my husband, would probably have risked it.
