Iguazu versus Victoria Falls

I am planning a trip to Argentina and Chile for January next year. I would like to know how does the Iguazu falls compare to the Victoria Falls. I have been to the Vic Falls and found them to be awsome. Will I be dissapointed int he Iguazu falls after seing the Vic falls?

I have friends who have seen both, they are different, Iguazu is larger and more diverse...I would not miss Iguazu even if I had seen Victoria. Just because you've seen one, doesn't mean you've seen them all :)

That being said, if I went to Africa, I would not hesitate to visit VF as part of my trip (unless the politics stopped me).

Henda hello,

I have been to Niagra Falls and to Victoria Falls - Zambia and Zimbabue sides. Niagra Falls was lovely; Victoria Falls was truly breathtaking and a different, excellent experience from each side...but Cataratas de Iguazu was the best. Both the Argentinean and Brazilian sides were spectacular - even more powerful and exciting and gorgeous than the others. Each side has a different quality - each side awesome. I would suggest that you take the opportunity - an unforgetable experience. ENJOY IT!

I've seen both which I found magnificent. If you can do both-- please do so, but if not, I'd opt for Foz do Iguacu and take in both the Argentine and Brazilian sides. I loved both.

Make sure you do the Safari, but if you do, wear old shoes or Crocs or the like, and wrap your camera well, too!
