Ideas/Deals for Mexico trip with Family???

The weather is really getting me down. Anyone seen any good deals out there on a trip to Mexico? Need to get away with the family for a week. Preferably the Caribbean side.

Thanks,

CP

What is your budget?Do you want all inclusive?? Big resort, small boutique????More information would allow us to help you better.

YOu can get fairly reasonable oceanfront condos (with space and pool) in the greater Akumal area, south of Cancun (away from the insanity). You will be near some ruins, the big parks (like Xel-Ha), groceries, etc.

or a good standby for just about anything you want to know in the area,

Cancun is always nice. We take the kids every year (going on 4th year now). Grand Oasis Cancun All Inclusive http://www.topiccancun.com/cancun-de...-all-inclusive. (some pics)

The price is right, lively, and big.. a good place for the family.

BTW: Read the bit about the pool. My kids love it, it's huge!

I recommend it!

The Grand Oasis can indeed be a good deal if you don't want to go anywhere; a room with 2 adults and 2 children, all inclusive, ca be had for ~$250/night.
A condo could be as much as 50% less, but then you have to buy food. My preference is always for an oceanfront condo with a kitchen and a rental car to tool around, but a week spent stuck in one place with kids? A giant pool and no cooking looks pretty good!

Need more information....where are you originating? Many charter airlines (such as Sun Country) offer package deals to Cancun or Cozumel, but you need to be in or near their originating city.

How large is your famly? How many bedrooms do you need? What are the ages? What do you like to do? Ocean front or no? Condo or hotel? Need a car? Hard to help with so little to go on.

For great deals I'd check private sales sites like www.bungolow.com this only works though if you're flexible about the where and what. But you can get a great price!
