Ica / Nazca trip possible?

I've just read a post stating that this trip was cancelled in late Sept. due to the earthquake damage. Does anyone have definite info on this, or know who I can contact to find out? I'm going to be in Lima in mid-Nov. and hoped to spend a couple of days doing the Lines and the mummy sites.

I'd call Aero Condor and ask if they are currently doing Nasca trips. Probably the easiest way to get current information.

Yes, it is possible now for sure. We just came back from Lima. My husband did Nazca lines from Lima, however other people took a bus to Ica, and did the overflight from there. It took them 4.5 hours to get to Ica (as usually).

Thanks, folks--I appreciate the suggestions. I did learn that AeroCondor has no flights to this area. And when I contacted go2Peru, they said the only flights available are to the tune of $3000 for a 6-seater plane!! I'm not quite in that league....SO. Has anyone experienced the bus trip?

You can contact www.peruchasquitur.com
, and they will arrange a private tour for you for a very reasonable price ( we had the arrangments with them). Also, some people from our group 'have experienced' the bus ride to Ica, and and they said it was fine.

Thanks, Helen--I'll give them a call.

We just booked a daytrip Nazca overflight out of Lima for December, with Aero Condor. So it seems they run this service currently.
