Iberostar Tucan Question
 

Hello ~
Can anyone tell me what bedding is available in a Junior Oceanfront Suite @the Iberostar Tucan?
Website indicates either 2 double beds & 2 sofas, or 1 king bed and 2 sofas. Are these just sofas or sofa beds? Need to know if the sofas are suitable for sleeping.
(If they're not sofa beds, then it seems to me that it wouldn't be worth the extra money for a suite.) We're a family of 4 w/2 teenage sons, so I would like a suite that will provide both boys w/their own bed.

I would appreciate anyone's opinions, or information from anyone who has stayed at the Iber Tucan. Thanks so much!

We had interconnecting rooms for our family of five. They were very spacious and comfortable, with two big beds in each (queens or maybe kings)...so the three boys had their own room and bathroom (and tv!). Don't know how that compares to the suite, but it was the best accommodation we've experienced.

Hi, how recent were you at the Toucan Sandra? We're looking hard at either Toucan or Quetzal for a wedding trip next Feb, and my one concern is the beach. Last time we were there (next door at the Yucatan), there was no beach and sandbags were holding up the grassy knoll just before the dive shop and pool area.
Another poster had advised me that they've rebuilt the beach but I'm looking for more confirmation on this. Thanks

We were there in March 2002. The beach was fine then--plenty of it!

Two Cats.We were there October 2002 and the beach was 100% better than the same time in 2001. There were no sandbags and the beach was much bigger with lots more palapas. Beautiful.

can someone tell me if there is an adults only pool I heard that they built a new swim-up bar is this true? thanks
