Iberostar Quetzal vs Tucan
Could anyone give me information on the difference between the Iberostar Quetzal and Iberostar Tucan? I've seen both referred to in this forum. Is either one preferred by families?

The Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan are in fact the same hotel-just divided into two. The Tucan is primarily associated with Apple Vacations, and the Quetzal with other travel agents (can't remember names). They both share the same facilities-pool, gym, beach, restaurants. In total the Iberostar have 700 rooms, so it's not small.

I went last September and stayed on the Tucan side, and it looked exactly the same on the Quetzal side except a slightly different style of decor. Other than that they were the same.

Hope this helps you out.

Hello,
That is true. This resort is always advertised as two resorts. If you picture a resort laid out like a huge square with all of the lodging arranged along both sides, with pool, jungle, restaurants, etc. down the middle, this is the general arrangement. Oh, and did I say OH MY GOSH...WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE...WOW!
