I think I'm set for our trip, but....

We are a family of 4, two boys (12 & 15) and us (mid 40's). We will be arriving from Denver in CR on Monday, July 14 at 5:30 A.M., which is great because we will have a whole day, but I wonder if we will be up for anything after flying all night? We are planning to go to right to Arenal area and stay at Silencio for 3 nights. Thanks to all the great info here, we are definetly doing Cano Negro, a volcano hike, hot springs, and a zip line. We would also like to do canyoneering, but if the budget doesn't allow, that will have to be another trip. We will be hiring a driver, we decided that with the worry of it not being smart to leave the car, and since we will have surfboards and boogie boards, that for us to enjoy the sights and possibly wanting to stop along the way, we would be better off letting someone else worry about it. On day 4 we are transferring to Jaco for a week. We are staying at Bahia Encantada and for us this seems to be ideal we are every other day at the beach/pool type people, and the Hubby wants one last surfing hoorah. We are planning on day trips to MA, Carrara, mangrove etc.
I am having a hard time finding tour info in Jaco, anyone know of anywhere I can look to find anything? Our last night is back to the airport area as our flight leaves at 6:00 a.m. (or so). We haven't decided where we will stay, but will most hotels be able to get us to the airport at 3:00 a.m.?
Thanks for any information or input you can add.

I don't know much about CR, but maybe this will help?

Why would you expect your hotel to get you to the airport? Wouldn't you take a taxi?

Well, hotels here in the states usually have airport shuttles, so it isn't all that far-fetched!

Actually, kimshotts, you will be able to arrange airport transportation through your hotel, more than likely. Plenty of time to work that out once you arrive!

Big hotels have their own airport shuttles. A smaller place will just call a taxi for you, even in the middle of the night. The front desk should be able to arrange it for you before you go to bed that night.

That's really what I meant, will the hotel be able to help us arrange a way to the airport? And thanks for the answers. I could just see us and the kids with the boards and luggage walking the streets trying to get to the airport in the middle of the night. Actually, if it weren't for the kids, I'd consider just sleeping in the airport. We are so excited we had to stop talking about the trip just to get the kids concentrating again on school and baseball.
