how to reserve eco termales?
Hello,
I'm trying to book Eco Termales for our trip in early March. I'd rather go by myself (i.e. not part of a tour) since we will have our own car. I've tried the email addresses mentioned for the hot springs ([email protected] and [email protected]) and neither of them work. In addition, our hotel (AOL) says they won't book anything for us until we arrive, but I've heard we should book in advance. Lastly, I've seen negative comments about Arenal.net so I'm reluctant to use them. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thank you! |
We booked it through Sunset Tours as a combo with a volcano hike, but I've read that others have used arenal.net with no problems.

I wouldn't use Arenal.net if unnecessary, but for Eco-Thermales should be just fine.

I keep reading the title of this post to be something about *tamales*
:-) |
We asked our hotel to book it for us as we were checking-in. That worked well. We met some people at Eco Termales who said they'd just walked up and got in and at a discounted rate at that! When we asked the desk at Eco Termales about discounted rates, they feigned ignorance.

I would be nervous to wait to book it. When we were there in July we met people that tried to get in, and Eco T was booked for the entire time they were in Arenal. They ended up having to go to Baldi and hated it. They were charged $10 per drink there! Eco T does their drinks on the honor system and were only $3 or $4 each. Best of luck! We really enjoyed Eco T. What were the negative comments you read about arenal.net?

I would definitely book ahead. We got the last spot for Sunday Feb 15th 5pm-9pm time slot, and we booked 2 weeks ahead!! We used www.anywherecostarica.com (which is linked to arenal.net) to book everything and it worked out awesome. We even booked all our hotels and interbus through www.anywherecostarica.com.
