How many days for Oaxaca?
 

We are going to Oaxaca for 5 full days. Is this an adequate amount of time for a first visit?

We went there for 5 days and enjoyed each one of them. Of course you could stay longer but I believe it is adequate.

Yes, five days will be adequate for Oaxaca with one or two days (or parts of days) outside of the city. We were there for 7 and could have stayed more; but 5 will be wonderful. Happy travels!

Five days is adequate. But if you can ever arrange, trying living a month or more in a Mexican colonial town. You'll see Mexico tourists don't get to know.

A week would be a lot better for the first time. There is a lot to see and do, but you can get a taste of things in the time you have. It would be nice if one of your days was a Sunday so you could visit Mitla and the market day at Tlatcolula.
