How is cancun in June?

I am going next week and am wondering will it just rain?
Many thanks,
Nick

I avoided Cancun but spent 2 weeks within 2 or 3 hours of it last June and it was HOTHOT. It rained mostly at night until Tropical Storm Agatha passed close by and we had heavy rain and wind for our last 2 days (though it continued for more than a week while I moved on to Chiapas). I should have mentioned that we had a blast and loved every place we stayed and everything we did. We returned in December for another week. Happy trails!

I travel every summer to Mexico or Central America (Guatemala, Belize, Honduras) and, other than rare tropical storms, we've found it to be a great time to visit. No tropical storms on the Atlantic horizon: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/

In our experience rain falls mainly at night or in the late afternoon and the days, especially mornings, are sunny and gorgeous.

You could consider Roatán - lots to do and the rains don't typically start there until later - Octoberish. It doesn't seem to be as hot there as on the Maya Riviera, at least in our experience.
