About a 15 minute taxi ride.

The fare should be about $15.00

You can spend some time walking and browsing the tourist shops.

The weather will be about 90F !!

There are no sidewalks ..so you walk along the side of the road from one place to another.

If you want a light lunch and a super view...then take a taxi from Coco Beach to Ocotal Beach resort (it is about 3 miles away) and you will see the turn off sign as you walk along the main strip in Coco Beach..

You are here anyway..so you might as well go visit Ocotal ( either lunch or a drink)..the view is really great!!

Have fun
Percy

Hey Percy:
You may have the Allegro Papagayo confused with the Grand Papagayo. Travel time from Allegro Papagayo to Playa del Cococ is about 45 minutes (34 kil) and now runs around $25 - $ 30 each way.

You are correct papagayo ..I am think of the Grand Papagayo but even that is further away.

I recall now how far it was from the "main" road " to get to Allegro Papagayo..as we drove there...in the distance I could see Witch's Rock.

The Grand Papagayo(former Costa Smeralda) is very much closer.

But if I was flycatcher I would still try to go to Octoal Resort ..just for a drink and admire the view .

However, if flycatcher wants an afternoon lunch( and not go to Ocotal) ..then the Lousianna Bar and Grill right on main street is a nice place.
You dine on the second floor and watch the people go by.

I know that you know the people that own the Louisianna Bar & Grill.

There is not that much to see and do in the town of Coco Beach...walking about from place to place is fine but if it is 90+F..it can get a little trying.

Another option is to sit in the little "park like" area right by the beach and have a cool one in the shade.!!

Thank you for correcting my mix ups of Papagayo resorts Mike
