We stayed at the Cataratas Hotel, a 10 min.cab ride to the falls. It has a gorgeous pool area & the food was fine.Cost was $125 U.S. incl. tax, a lot cheaper than the Sheraton with good value.

It's been a couple of years since we went, but we also stayed at the Hotel Cataratas (in Argentina) for 2 nights.

We were very pleased with this hotel! The room was large and comfortable with a large bathroom and a very great hot and cold buffet breakfast! Cost about $109 US with tax.

As far as staying at the Sheraton back in Argentina is concerned ...
We're very glad we didn't do it. If you plan to never leave the park, you'd probably love it, but we would've been bored to tears staying there for 2 whole days. We enjoyed going into the town of Puerto Iguazu to take in the sights and for dinner each night and there's a neat lookout called the Tres Fronteras where you look across the river to Paraguay and Brazil. So, if you're going to take the ride into town then you may as well stay outside the park anyway as most of the hotels are on the road from the park into town. To get to the park from the Hotel Cataratas we took the city bus. It's yellow and says El Practico (or something like that). You have to walk out to the main road and hail for it. It costs about $1 US per person and the bus seemed to run about every 30 minutes. This is the same bus that goes into the town of Puerto Iguazu (from the hotel about 25 cents!)

Hope this helps!
Happy, safe travels :)>-

We are booked into the Sheraton. Suggestion as to which side is better: Falls or jungle?

The falls are some distance from the Sheraton...but the panoramic view from the balcony made the extra money for a falls room worth the expense for us...we sat outdoors in the mornings with coffee and again in the evening with a glass of wine.
