Hotels around Arenal?

Hi Everybody,
Turns out Lost Igauna and Tabacon are both booked. Honestly, nothing else looks that great from the photos online. Are the properties more appealing than they appear? How about this brand new place, Arenal Springs Resort, anybody been there? Looking for a place with a pool and hot springs and a massage would be nice, too. I guess a view of the big guy would be ok but not a deal breaker since it sounds like seeing the hill at all is hit or miss.
Thanks,
Misty

Montaña de Fuego is a nice place.

Arenal Paraisio is one that fits your description.

And although you did not ask - IMHO the view is good to have. It is exciting to see the volcano doing it's stuff while lying in bed or sitting on your porch, late night and early morning.

I also liked Arenal Paraiso. Had an amazing view of the volcano from our room, and saw lava rolling down the volcano from the hot springs-fed pool. Plus, the price is much better than Tabacon (which I've heard is not any nicer!).

Thanks for your input. Could I run some other names by you? How about Los Lagos or Occidental El Tucano? Anybody been to these?
