Hotel? Riviera Maya

We stayed at one of the Barcelo properties in Riviera Maya, Mexico 10 years ago and loved it. We loved the beautiful beach area and being able to go to 3 or 4 other Barcelo hotels for activities and restaurants. I like to stay at different places so am looking for suggestions of other hotel chains you can do that at. The beach is very important to us. Walk in white sand beaches please. The only other one I'Im familiar with is the Iberstar properties. Sorry if not spelling the hotel names right. Maybe middle to next to high end.

The Riviera Maya is extensive. Have you consulted a good guidebook or two?

If white sand beaches are a priority, you might want to "narrow" your search to Tulum. And try booking.com

The beach at Maroma is lovely and has several higher end properties to choose from. You might enjoy it there.

The Iberostar Paraiso complex is also a big resort with four different sections.
You don't say if you are traveling with children. If you are not, the Iberostar Paraiso Grand is a total luxury adults only AI resort. There are four family resorts in the complex. The Del Mar and Beach share all amenities. If you stay at one of them you are guaranteed three ala carte dinner reservations for a seven night stay but can try for more each day.
Next is the Lindo/Maya section. They share the same pool area and beach. Guests of the Lindo can also use all the facilities at the Del Mar/Beach but not the restaurants or bars at the Maya. Guests of the Maya have use of all but the Grand. Guests of the Lindo/Maya can eat ala carte dinners every night of their stay and have a concierge in their building to make the reservations for them.
The beach for the complex is big and beautiful. The pools are fantastic. Service is wonderful and the staff is great.

Maybe Grand Palladium, has four sections plus a fifth Adult Only section. Can eat at any of the restaurants with no reservations except two (Beach BBQ and one other). Decent snorkeling and just north of Akumal.
I would not recommend Barcelo these days as they put in a captive dolphin pen which is VERY small plus lied about what they were building at the time. Plus you are limited to 3 a la cartes for a one week stay.

Thank you I will look into those complexes.

We are looking at the Iberostar Lindo. I believe you can eat and use any restaurants and facilities at the DelMar/Beach resorts, is this correct. Of all of the Iberostars which has the best beach? Is their a walkway you can use up and down all of the Iberostars. Are their many pools you can use?
