Thanks everyone for the hotel suggestions. However, I have already reserved a room at the Orquideas Inn. Thanks, too, for the Tricolor email address. I'll give it a try. I have reached them a couple times on the 800 number, but could not make them understand my Email address, so they could Email me a confirmation. This morning, they took a long time even finding my reservation, because, of course, my name had been spelled incorrectly. On the advice of several people, I added a GPS to my reservation. Sure hope we don't lose it, though--because we have to put down a $400 deposit! They were supposed to Email me a confirmation immediately after I hung up, but that was an hour ago--and nothing yet, so I guess they didn't get my Email address right. I'll Email them at the address you gave me.

Just returned from CR and spent one night at the Trapp Inn which is 5 minutes from the airport and though there is some occasional plane traffic noise we did not find this a problem as there didn't seem to be much airport activity during the night. Taxi fare was 3 dollars.
Rooms were large and spotless and there is a pool surrounded by exotic vegetation. Breezy, intimate restaurant served a fine dinner of course breakfast was included. We would certainly book this hotel for future CR trips.
