Was thinking of staying at the Debret hotel for Carnaval. Can anyone tell me or point me to a map that shows where it is in relation to clubs (Help), bars, etc. Want to be able to walk to nightlife attractions

Well, I can't post any map here, but at the hotel-webside you will see a map where the hotel Debret is located!<BR><BR>http://www.debret.com/english/index.asp<BR><BR>It is right at the Copacabana, on Av. Everybody knows what HELP discoteca is thats why they want to be near it. Nobody here is in denial about what it is either and for all of you people who wouldn't go there I salute you but the questions on this board are not: &quot;What kind of club is HELP discoteca?&quot; The question is where is it in relation to the Debret Hotel? And the answer is to the young man I assume. You can't get any closer to HELP as far as a Hotel is concerned, it is 1 block and a half walk to HELP from the Debret. Thats all very simple and no pontificating about what HELP is because I am sure the young man does not want to go to a Samba school rehearsal at night.

Evelyn, I just checked out that website you posted above, very nice, you must really love Rio as much as I do, thanks for sharing that with us.

There is another post on this site called DISCO, the posters mention other clubs in Rio. Also check out www.blameitonrio4travel.com, he has a large list of clubs and bars in the neighborhood as well as www.ipanema.com
