hotel lion d'or buenos aires?
Hi,
Has anyone stayted at hotel lion d'or in buenos aires? I am having a very hard time finding a room for 11 nights (either full or too expensive for me - I can do $65/night - would like to pay less but want to stay somewhere charming in Palermo or Recoleta.) Lonely Planet recommneds this hotel for its charm - but I would like to hear feedback and am also open to any suggestions, but I think I've done exhaustive research... Thank you! |
Nice location but I do not know this hotel. Sorry....
Here are some other options in the area that I do know and like for the same price. www.arthotel.com.ar http://www.juncalpalacehotel.com.ar/ |
Several of my friends have stayed there, it's around the corner from our house, and they've loved it. Quiet, well kept, rooms perhaps a little on the small side, but clean and nicely appointed.

Thank you! Art Hotel and Juncal Palace are full... but this place sounds nice.

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. As it turns out, after looking at a couple dozen hotels, in a city of 18 million people, Hotel Lion D'or, is located one and half blocks from the apartment my best friend rented last week, so I'll be staying there - seems as though it's meant to be! Will post an update when I return! tg. |
Wow, 18 million, we must have had a population explosion! Really, we only have between 3-4 million people who live in the city of Buenos Aires. There are roughly 15 million total who live in what's called Gran Buenos Aires, which takes into account 24 other small cities located near to BA.
That aside, I think you're making a good choice with the Lion d'Or. |
