Hotel Costa Verde

Can anyone out there share their experience with Hotel Costa Verde in MA? Have seen some not so good reviews on trip advisor, but I think these related to Costa Verde II. Many of the other MA places near the park aren't in our price range, $200 in January. If this is a decent place, it might fit the bill.

I stayed in the penthouse at www.costaverde.com

CV2 the PentHouse $150 per night thought it was

amazing with wrap around views of the park rustic jungle lodge

CV2 is the best adult only area with best views and pool.

some of the other family econo rooms not as good

short downhill walk to beach and park

www.tulemar.com Mot Mot might work

www.issimosuites.com also good

across the street from CV www.villasnicolas.com

similar view lots better price..

So for me any of the above based on budget really

Have fun,

I really liked Costa Verde, stay in a Studio Plus if you can, they have the best views. Have stayed there twice without problem.

We use this hotel for clients a lot. I think it offers a lot of value for the dollar.

The key here is to step up to at least a least a Studio Plus, to guarantee the great view.

The only caveat is that the beach access is not a simple as it appears. It is a bit of a walk down, and back up again at the end of the day. But at least there is access, most hotels in this area don't have that.

I agree about Tulemar. Buena Vista Villas has taken over management. How many people in your party? A bungalow is $270.00 in January. They also have some Jr. Suites at $250.00. This property features a private beach at the bottom of the hill, and a shuttle to run you up and down.

The Mot-Mot is on the same property, but is now managed privately. It has something similar to a Jr. Suite for $220.00.

Hope this helps! Let me know if I can offer any more advice.

We stayed in a room overlooking the pool & the ocean. It was one of our favorite places. The paths to the rooms make you feel you are in the jungle. Our room was huge as well as the veranda. Got to love those great rocking chairs--deck must have been 20ft long. The howler monkeys woke us up every morning about 5am & I didn't even mind. A nice breeze comes through the windows/doors & they have ceiling fans. The restaurant next door is good as well.
