Hot Spring hotels in and around Arenal

I'm starting to plan a family vacation to CR and our first stop will be Arenal. I love the idea of staying at a place with hot springs, but I only found the Springs Resort so far. Pricey!! Any other ones in the area?

Tabacon is probably the most popular one, but a lot of the smaller hotels also have springs on site. Silencio del Campo is popular; Los Lagos is popular for families with young kids.

Check into Los Lagos and Arenal Paraiso for hotels that have their own hot spring pools. There are probably others as well, but these are 2 that I can think of right off the bat. Both hotels get good reviews overall and both will be a lot less expensive than the Springs.

You can always visit the other hot springs in the area as well - Eco Termales, Tabacon, Baldi, and those at the Springs Resort (although maybe not as convenient or economical as having something right at your hotel...). Lots of folks here speak highly of Eco Termales. I've only been to Tabacon which is in a gorgeous setting, but tends to be more busy and heavily visited. I'm sure the Springs resort is beautiful and wonderful since its run by the Peace Lodge people (and Peace Lodge is beautiful and wonderful!).

Try Baldi Hot Springs. As part of a tour group, we spent a day there and LOVED it. We adults decided we'd like to return when we didn't have 23 teenagers in tow!

There is a lot of negative banter about Baldi, but I also enjoyed a day visit there.

There are hotel rooms but the day admission to the springs is reasonable. I stayed down the road but I think if they aren't charging crazy rates it would be nice to be at a resort with its own springs.
