honeymoon from PV?

We're getting married early next June in Puerto Vallarta and are starting to look into honeymoon ideas. Any recommendations for places to go afterwards? They could be in Mexico, but the Caribbean/other parts of Latin America are fine. We're looking for somewhere that would be easy to reach from PV. Thanks

Four Seasons Punta Mita is very close by.

Or look here:

But...really depends on what you are looking for.

If you are getting married in Puerto Vallarta why would you want to leave. I would stay, If it's luxury you want then Four Seasons in Punta Mita is it. Check pepper131 mexico boutique hotels sounds like what you are looking for.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding

I'm also curious that you wouldn't want to honeymoon in the Puerto Vallarta area.

Are you looking for luxury, remote or rustic accomodations, isolated place, city place... what?

thanks for the advice! i love puerto vallarta- i've been there twice and it is amazing. i would like to go somewhere new for my honeymoon, however, especially bc many of our friends and family are staying for a week after the wedding. i'm also interested in other parts of latin america, because my fiance has a lot of family in mexico so i know we'll be visiting often in the future. i'd relaly like somewhere where we could relax by the beach but has a lot of culture as well... might be asking a lot, but thank you for any help you can give!

I think why the request is difficult is because 'culture' and relaxing by the beach aren't usually in the same place.

You could combine some beach time say at PV, then onto Guadalajara or Mexico City or into the colonial cities inland? Or the Caribbean side in Playa del Carmen for beach, then visiting the various ruins.

You could go anywhere on the Carribean side Cuncun to Tulum - and still have access to ruins (although better reached by southern areas such as Tulum, Akumal). Also do a day trip or overnight in Valladolid - small colonial city near Chichen Itza and Ek Balam.

Check out Riviera Maya there are several beautiful hotels there which are Adults Only such as Royal HIdeaway and some of the Palace Hotels. I have heard it is a really nice area. Also Isla Mujeres is in the area. Good Luck.
