honeymoon destination
Hi - we are going on our honeymoon and are between Spain, Italy, and Costa Rica? Our honeymoon is in Feb. so it will be cold in Spain and Italy, but we think that they would be romantic places, but Costa Rica will be warm. WE like the beach but cant spend days on end on it. Any advice?

CR great variety
lots more than beaches. www.xandari.com would be a nice choice www.arenal.net www.lostiguanaresort.com www.desafiocostarica.com Great adventure filled memorable moon. Congrats have fun, |
Costa Rica is beautiful with so much to do - that would be my pick. We love the Lost Iguana in Arenal and also love the Peace Lodge. Manuel Antonio has some pretty beach areas; check out Buena Vista Villas or Makanda by the Sea. Have you considered Hawaii at all? We really enjoyed our honeymoon there.

Hi I have been to all of these place and liked each for different reasons.I love Costa Rica for warm fun adventures and wildlife. It is probably one of my top places to go. I just went to Italy and Spain on my last trip good for food, shopping, history, museums, architeture and city life. Give some ideas of what you like.

Honeymoon
Go to Sandals Antigua. They do drive on the left if you want to rent a car. |
For adventure and nature, CR is pretty hard to beat. However, if crystal clear water and white sandy beaches is your thing (isn't it everybody's..lol) I'd suggest the Carribbean or Hawaii. Having said that, check out Bueana Vista Villas in Manuel Antonio (CR). They have a private beach, tons of wildlife (monkeys on our balcony daily) and beautiful 1 bedroom villas. If you have time, you might also consider spending a few nights / days in Arenal to see the active volcano. Enjoy!

I would pick Italy in the off season. Prices are lower and no crowds. Hours are shorter, but its a trade off.

I've been to Italy and to CR, and I would pick CR hands down. I like warm weather, adventure, volcanoes, waterfalls, wildlife, ziplines, etc. so I think it depends on what you personally like. If you like museums and a sense of history, I'd lean towards Italy. For the things I mentioned, CR.

Contact your travel agent and look into all inclusive, honeymoon couples-only resorts on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Plenty of resturants, bars, pools, excursions and the beach are included and onsite. The rooms are usually exotic. Transportation from the airport is usually included too.
