Joe: good idea but check the surf shops near where you plan to go surfing. There are at least a couple in Jaco that look like they do lots of trading, possibly more in nearby Playa Hermosa. I'm sure there are some in Tamarindo and Dominical as well. Lots of guys in these location offer ding repair too. I just got back from CR; we took my boogie board and found OK surf at Tamarino, better at nearby Playa Grande, Jaco itself is forgettable, Playa Grande the best, Dominical a close second. Good luck, you'll have fun!

I wouldn't go to Jaco because there is lots of theft there. <BR>Kim

My family has stayed in Jaco for a full week 2 different times and we have never had anything stolen. If you are careful and discreet, you should have no problems.
