help with lodging for a december visit

my husband and i will be in costa rica dec. 20-jan. 2 and would like to stay mostly on the beach. we are interested in small intimate places, preferably adult only. we want to relax, eat well and enjoy our time in paradise....it doesn't have to be luxurious, but clean is a must....please help with ideas.

I've got lots of ideas, do you have a destination in mind? looking for anything other than beach time,(fishing, canopy, whitewater etc.), or just relaxing on the beach?

that is a great time throughout the central and southern zones. maybe something in Manuel Antonio so you're near the beach and also close to many of the countries other activities?

Hotel Sugar Beach sounds like a good option for you. Playa Potrero, Guanacaste.

we don't really have a destination in mind...we want to learn how to surf, maybe a canopy and much beach time. We have looked at a place called Cabanas los Cocos...

Have you checked out Ylang Ylang resort in Montezuma? My sig other and I have chosen this for our wedding in February. It is right on the beach, a 15 minute walk to the town of Montezuma, but at the resort it is lush, romantic, and intimate. The reviews are fantastic!

Ylang Ylang is booked from XMas through Jan. 3rd, as of now. We've been trying! We'll just stay at El Jardin instead, unless someone tells me we shouldn't, for some reason!
