Help with 13 day itinerary, which beach area?

We are going for 13 days in March. Need some help with some hotel and beach area choices.
Day 1 arrive -San Jose - Orquideas Inn
Day 2 Shuttle to Arnenal - Tabacon
Day 3 Arenal
Day 4 Jeep - boat - jeep to Monteverde
Day 5 Monteverde - El Establo Or El Sapo?
Day 6 Rent car drive to ?
Can't decide Tropico Latino in Santa Therera or Sueno Del Mar, Tamarindo, or Hotel Giada, Samara. 4 nights
day 7, 8 9
Day 10 Fly to Osa Pennsula - Bosque del Cabo
Day 11 Jungle trek
Day 12 fly back to San Jose - Vista Del Valle
Day 13 Fly home
Is this too much? We like smaller less touristy places, want to fish, horse back ride Thanks

First, if you like less touristy places, pick Samara or Santa Teresa over Tamarindo, which is VERY touristy and the largest town of the three.
Second, I'm a little confused about the flying to the Osa part, as you can't fly to the Osa directly from anywhere other than San Jose or Quepos.

Thanks Alley, we were going to fly from samara to San Jose to Osa. Seems like Samara sounds like the best for us. Are we doing all this in the right order?

Okay, that's fine, as long as you can get a rental car in Monteverde, and they will let you leave it in Samara. Might be a bit pricey if they let you do this.
The order is fine. Have a great trip!

You might want to check with one of the private shuttles to see if you could just take one of those to Samara. It wouldn't be any more expensive for 2 people to do that vs renting a car. Monteverdeinfo.com is located in Monteverde and has inexpensive shuttles to various places. Interbus and Fantasy bus might also have shuttles there from Monteverde.

Thanks for the reply. I checked out all the car rentals and Alamo has the cheapest large SUV for $100 day with no drop off fee for Samara. There are 4 of us going. Decided on El Establo Hotel in the standard room for $77 in Monteverde. Also any comments on Las Brisas Del Pacifico Hotel in Samara. It sounds like the best place to stay on the beach. Thanks
