The Riu Palace is very close to the RH and looks really nice.

Well found out rui palace is sold out. Checking into secrets capri and iberostars paradiso lindo. I also look into all the other recommodations you all suggest

I don't know if you're interested, but I truly love the JW Marriott in Cancun.
Nicer than any beach further south on the Mayan Riviera, (except Tulum).
It's not AI, but that way, the foods better! :)! And it's truly a fantastic hotel, perhaps the best in the whole area...
Tons of great non allinclusive hotels in the area...
Also, Ceiba del Mar looks very nice, and think they have an all inclusive plan...

It seems like everywhere I call is sold out. Therefore, I'm down to Secrets Capri, unless anyone can make any other suggestions. Thanks in advance

Could all of the sold-outs be because tour operators have bought up all the rooms? If so, you might be able to find an opening through a travel agent.

We were just at Secrets Capri in May 2004 & loved it !! We thought the food was just about the best of any of the resorts that we've been to (Secrets Capri was the 16th of 17 Caribbean/Mexican trips & we usually go to all inclusive, adults only resorts). The service was great, the pool was very nice (& plenty big enough for the small size of the resort), our room was nice (we had an oceanfront room facing the ocean), & the beach was nice enough (though not as nice as the beach/water in Playa) (you could walk south a long way down the beach).

Aventura Spa Palace (south of Playa del Carmen)(AI & Adults Only) was about on par w/ Secrets Capri. The actual resort is huge (w/ about 1,200 rooms), but service was great as was the food. It's not directly on the ocean (since the ocean is so rough right there, they created a little lagoon in front of the resort so that you could still go in the water), but the pool was really long & kept perfectly clean.

Good Luck!! :-)

Jackie
