Help!! Current weather: Rio and surroundings

We're leaving for rio in a few days and every site I check is forecasting rain & thundershowers in Rio and the area. :( Is it raining all day and there is no sun, or are these passing showers? Would really appreciate if someone in Rio could give some input as to what the days are typically like.
Any feedback would be appreciated, would help me figure out what to pack too. Thanks!

I used to do this, check the forcast on the web and you're right always looks like rain but it's seldom true. Sure it rains like anywhere else but this time of year you should have nice weather about 85 - 92 degrees every day.

hi, it has been raining virt non stop since saturday, but the forecast is to get better as from wed. It's a cold front coming from argentina. Sun only as from wed. it's warm though, about 25oC, or about 80o F. Pack an umbrella or rain coat, it can rain at any time these days
