Has anyone stayed

at the Sheraton Cancun and Towers? We are three married couples in our early 30's, and are going in the last week of March. We are staying in the "Towers" part of the hotel, which does not allow college students. Will there be a great deal of college kids down there at that time? Thanks for any info!

I try to not plan vacations in March or early April because of spring break and the college students.

Cancun has become a hot spot for spring break. My guess is you'll be surrounded with fun and games.

Good Luck!

We stayed at the Sheraton last year for spring break. But it was the first week of March and not the last. We were very suprised at how "un-crowded" it was there. There was plenty of room at the beach and the pool. The beach at the Sheraton is very nice. We stayed in the Towers and had a little balcony that overlooked the ocean and the side "jungle". We could watch the iguanas sunning in the side yard. The nice thing about the Towers is that they serve breakfast in the lobby restaraunt, with made to order omelettes, which were great. The also serve a continental breakfast which is excellent, lots of fruit, etc. When you stay in the Towers, the staff comes up in the evening with a little tray of treats. We got such a kick out of it. One night they brought little swan cream puffs. I think that you will really enjoy staying there. The only strange thing about the Towers is that they don't have extra roll-away beds to bring into the room. We had 3 people in one room, and 2 of us had to share one of the double beds. By the way, we will also be there the last week of March, 27March - 3April. E-mail back if you need any additional info. Christine

Oh, one more thing. The Sheraton didn't have any obnoxious, loud activities going on. It was very quiet and relaxing. I think that some of the other hotels cater to the spring break party crowd, but not the Sheraton.

The Sheraton was nice. I stayed there in 94. Spring Break at my school is 4/19 through 4/29. I know that schools vary, but they all revolve around Easter and/or Passover, so you should be OK.
