Fascinating - thanks!

Is this anywhere near where I'm headed?
Flores/Tikal Antigua San Pedro de Laguna Thanks, Lynnie |
Hi, Lynnie -
It's not likely, but it's located close enough to Antigua and Guatemala City that the airport and ground transportation could be affected if there's a major eruption. Pacaya erupted last May/June and the airport was closed for awhile due to the ash. Of course, the Iceland volcano stopped air traffic in Europe, so you never know!! When do you go? Here's a website with updates: http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/volcano_news/guatemala/ |
Thanks for the website. I arrive in Guatemala City on Feb. 25th

Well, you're a lucky duck! I don't get to go back until July.
