Guatemala / Belize / Mexico trip with teenagers

Hello!
Ok after extensive reading I think I finalized my trip. I reduced one day in Flores, we now opt for an early flight from Guatemala City to Flores, explore the island village and then take a taxi or so to Tikal Jungle Logde. Either late afternoon or early morning we visit Tikal, and then we take time to travel to San Ignacio. This gives us 1 day extra in Bacalar, which I think makes the trip more relaxed and also do Bacalar more justice (we are traveling with 2 teens)

Table Rock is a very nice resort. It's not in San Ignacio, though. It's about 10 miles from San Ignacio up toward Mountain Pine Ridge. Please consider doing some Mountain Pine Ridge exploration other than just tubing on the Macal River. There are; Rio on Pools, Rio Frio Cave & Big Rock falls to consider. Also, be sure to eat at Carmita's Home Baking and Cooking for at least one dinner meal (she also does breakfasts & lunches). You'll pass her place on the way to Table Rock, when you are passing through Cristo Rey Village. She accepts credit cards, and has a full bar, with a local-style menu, as well as a more eclectic menu with non-Belizean foods, but with a Belizean twist. You won't find a better meal in the area.

Sounds much better than your early version to me. I'm sorry you won't get to Lake Atitlán - it's my favorite part of Guatemala, but including 3 countries in 2.5 weeks you can't hit everything. Happy trails!
